Regenerative Agriculture,
One Bite At A Time!
Here at Gordon’s Grazers, we began with a love of the land and a belief that regeneration starts from the ground up - and sometimes, with a goat!
Our herd of hard working goats are on a mission to heal the land, one bite at a time. With a passion for regenerative agriculture, fire mitigation, and natural weed control, we let nature do what it does best. Whether you’re dealing with overgrown brush, invasive weeds, or just want a sustainable land care solution, our goats are ready to get to work - and they love every bite of it!
Goats are natural browsers, meaning they prefer to feed on woody plants, shrubs, and weeds. This behavior makes them highly effective for managing invasive species and clearing overgrown vegetation.
Using goats for targeted grazing can reduce the reliance on chemical herbicides, supporting healthier soils and more balanced ecosystems. Additionally, goat manure serves as a nutrient-rich, organic fertilizer that enhances soil fertility. Their hooves naturally aerate the soil, improving water absorption and promoting robust plant growth.
Unlike some livestock, goats can graze on terrain that's unsuitable for other animals, making otherwise unproductive land useful.
They also contribute to wildfire prevention by consuming dry brush and flammable vegetation.
By controlling invasive plants, goats allow native species to reestablish, which supports biodiversity. Their grazing patterns also encourage a diverse range of plant life.
Incorporating rotational grazing with goats is a valuable strategy in regenerative agriculture!
